It’s nice to do a bit of girl sewing for a change. Today I’m sharing a pinafore I made for my niece using the Roly Poly Pinafore Pattern by Imagine Gnats. This is such a quick pattern to put together, and the result is so cute!
My sewing machine and I have been having a bit of a disagreement over buttonholes, so I skipped buttons and added some snaps instead. The snaps mean it’s reversible too. I used 5 different fat quarters to make the size 2, though it would have also worked with just 4. The sizing seems pretty true to me. I made up a nice Spring time version, but I can just picture it in a cozy corduroy too.
As you can see, it’s great for busy little girls. My niece spent the whole time chasing Roman around the backyard, so there were plenty of action shots to choose from.
